Kabo Leshoai founded DSolar in 2015 after setting up the first 2 Independent Power Producer (IPP) solar farms for Eskom in 2012. Both of which are still connected to the grid today1 She is the sole director and leads a highly qualified and reputed Level 1 BBBEE business. Kaba has played an influential role in the industry, including serving as an Executive Director on the Canyon Springs Investments board from 2012 – 2015.
She has also filled successful shareholding roles in numerous solar power projects. These days Dsolar is powered by a 70% black women staff and proudly supports BBBEE and gender equity by prioritising black professionals, particularly women, even in consulting roles and other outsourced expertise. DSolar has 3 teams led by our PV Green Card trained Lead Engineer. And we are SAPVIA members.
